Founded Crystal Wyrm back in 2018 after spending way too many years at a big corporate firm that treated artists like walking checkbooks. Got tired of seeing talented people get steamrolled by terrible contracts.

These days I mostly handle the big-picture stuff - firm direction, major cases, and making sure we're actually living up to our values. Still take on select clients though, especially indie game developers (I'm a huge gaming nerd, sue me).

Education: UBC Law, plus way too many hours learning about blockchain and NFTs

I'm the guy you want when things get messy and you need to go to court. Spent my early career prosecuting white-collar crime, which turns out is pretty useful training for going after IP thieves and copyright violators.

Don't let the courtroom tough-guy reputation fool you - I'd much rather settle things reasonably. But when the other side won't play fair? Yeah, I enjoy a good fight. Won some pretty significant cases for musicians and content creators over the years.

Notable: Successfully litigated against three major streaming platforms

Entertainment law found me, honestly. Started doing contract work for a friend's band, then another, and suddenly I was known as the lawyer who actually reads the fine print and explains what it means. Turns out that's rarer than it should be.

I negotiate deals for musicians, filmmakers, actors, producers - basically anyone creating entertainment content. My thing is making sure you're protected without killing the deal, because at the end of the day, you wanna make art AND get paid fairly for it.

Used to be a software developer before law school, which makes me kind of a unicorn in this field. I actually understand the tech side of digital rights management, platform algorithms, content ID systems - all that stuff most lawyers just nod and smile about.

Specialize in helping digital creators - YouTubers, streamers, podcasters, online educators - protect their content and navigate platform policies. Also do a lot of work around AI-generated content rights, which is... complicated, to put it mildly.

Background: Computer Science degree, 5 years as dev before law

I'm all about the paperwork that protects your brand before problems even start. Trademark registration, copyright filing, cease-and-desist letters to knock-off sellers - that's my jam. Prevention's way cheaper than litigation, trust me on that.

Work with everyone from solo artists building their brand to small studios launching new IP. My goal is to make sure your stuff is locked down tight so you can focus on creating instead of worrying about who's copying your work.

Specialty: Filed over 1,200 trademark applications

Numbers guy here. I handle licensing deals and royalty agreements, making sure creators actually get paid what they're owed. You'd be shocked how many contracts are structured to basically screw over artists through creative accounting.

I do royalty audits, negotiate licensing terms, and occasionally sue companies that mysteriously can't seem to calculate payments correctly. Also work on merchandising deals, adaptation rights, that kind of thing. Basically, if money should be flowing to you from your creative work, I make sure it does.
